I've been moving around a bit in the past few years chasing a career around. I think I'm going to be sticking around the north-Chicagoland area for a little while, so why not put some effort into meeting some people?

I'm pretty easily entertained when not working. I enjoy a good night out at the bar or in watching a movie. I enjoy summer more than winter (although this winter is nothing to complain about), I can't wait to get the grill back out and be able to relax outside! It's also pretty rare for me to refuse a live event or show...so if you're looking for a concert buddy, let me know!

To add definition to a cliche adjective -- I'm 'laid-back' in the sense that I love to laugh and smile, I can be patient when something is important to me, and I have a hard time staying mad at people. I am NOT 'laid-back' in the sense that I lack passion, don't care enough to have an opinion or have little zest for life.

I work live entertainment industry. It's super demanding at times but has already taken me on some of the greatest adventures and I'm looking forward to the many to come!

Often I'm asked to communicate with people who expect the world for nothing, have the social/emotional characteristics of an 8-year old and expect me to solve their problems. I like to think this has prepared me rather well to deal with normally functioning adults.

Also, I'm pretty good at opening a beer without an opener or lighter...and twist offs are for sissies.

Reading - I've been enjoying a lot of the Malcom Gladwell writings and other psychology/sociology authors. Currently I'm making my way though some of Thomas Merton's writings which are highly intriguing.

Watching - I really enjoy the cult classics, Pulp Fiction, Boondocks Saints, and the alike. Californiacation, Alcatraz and Mad Men have been been pretty good lately. I also enjoy the lighter side - Weeds, Arrested Development, Office Space....

Listening - I get into everything from Floyd and Wolfmother to Brubeck and the Bad Plus. There's a couple jams that have been on in the top 40 lately that are pretty good, but we'll save guilty pleasures for another day...
